Yes, it's as comfortable as it looks.  This chair is a contemporary take on the "Prairie Style" chairs made popular by Frank Lloyd Wright and Stickley.  Set low and using horizontal lines and flat expanses to evoke the landscape of the prairie, designs from the Prairie School are some of the 20th Century's most iconic.

Here, using beautifully figured Western walnut instead of white oak, and tufted cushions, is in a way more modern than Arts and Crafts, yet the reverse-tapered legs and corbels are still reminiscent of Limbert and Mackintosh.
